Bandra - Worli Sealink opened !

Mrs Gandhi, the UPA Chairman, commissioned the Sea Link which connects Bandra & Worli in Mumbai. It is an infrastructure marvel, a 4.7 km bridge over the sea, made up of 30,000 tonnes of steel and 90,000 tonnes of Cement.

Trip via this link will save almost one hour of time, during peak hours. A toll of Rs 50 will be levied. It is an 1650 crore project, which took 9 years of time.

This is the first of its kind in India. Bombay resembles Shanghai now.

Mumbai also got the first NSG hub, spread over 22 acres.
