Let us study what is Web Marketing 2.0. Social Media is used in WM 2.0. Blogging improves the corporate profile. Blogging, rss feeds, social networking, social bookmarking - all these are part and parcel of Web Marketing 2.0

Why I Use Social Bookmarking
I’m going to back up a bit here today and cover social bookmarking again. During the last week I received an email from one of my team members from the thirty day challenge chastising me for leaving the team. In fact he was down rite insulting. It appears that the only thing that the other team members and myself are good for is to help him pawn his wares. He must have assumed that I would bookmark his content regardless of whether the content was good or not. Well this person has missed the boat completely. This is NOT what social bookmarking is all about and it appeared to me that he just wants to game the system. In my opinion if you game you loose.
I use the bookmarking services to save content that I can redly access from any pc. At times I go on the road building FTTH systems and I can’t take my home pc with me but I still want to have access to the great content that I have found so that I can keep connected. I’m not as fortunate as the big dawgs of Internet to dedicate my entire life to marketing, at least not yet, but one day soon I look to leave the optical business and spend the rest of my days with my family. Bottom line is I’ve spent twenty years building the Internet now it’s time to start making money on it instead of building it.
One bi product of bookmarking.
Over the past 9 months I’ve found great content by exploring others bookmarking’s and I hope that other online user have found great content from my bookmarks. After all this is what it’s about, sharing. My bookmarks are not my content but rather others content. So many people don’t understand why you would bookmark someone else’s sites, saying they don’t understand how it would help them. The one man band syndrome. These folks appear to be missing the meaning of the word ’social’.
I’ve found great content like Gary Conn’s site on blogging tips, JDs Blog Empowering Ideas and Dave Taylors blog just to name a few. Does this help my sites? Probably not, but I simply enjoy their content and find it a good resource for things I don’t know and want to learn and I bookmark these sites for me as well as for others that may explore my bookmarks and find value in these sites too.
Bottom line here is simple. I use social bookmarking services to give sites like these my personal recommendation so that others may have the chance to benefit from their knowledge as I do as well as reference for myself.

The Seven Part Plan to Building a Brand
- By: Fran Black, 2007-12-06
Building a brand is more than just fixing a catchy name on a product. Brand is all about relationships—it is how customers feel about your product. That feeling will either incline them to use your product or pass it by for something else. What control does a marketer have over the minds and hearts of buyers? Marketing authority David Jobber has identified seven factors in building a successful brand.
While a seller cannot create the public’s perception of their product, the seller must influence opinion using strategic suggestions. This is called positioning, and to do it properly the seller must first identify the advantages of using the product or service. These benefits must align with the customer’s needs, wants, and desires.
If you are lucky enough to be the first on the market to offer a particular product or service you may have an advantage—initially. If your product is successful you can be sure competition will arrive shortly; however, it is possible for the first successful brand to create a clear position in the minds of customers before the competition enters the market. Whether or not your product is the first of its kind, your first challenge is to establish credibility. Consumers must take your product seriously if they are to develop trust and loyalty to your brand.
Of course, before customers will buy a product, they must know about it. Communications play a critical role in building brand. Initial effort will focus on building brand awareness. As awareness increases, brand personality will be important to develop. Reinforcing position will be an on-going challenge.
This is where the next factor of brand-building comes into play. No amount of hustling can cover for quality. Statistically, higher quality brands always outplay their inferior counterparts in the marketing arena. Part of building a brand is communicating to consumers the benefits of using your brand—and consistently delivering on that promise.
Brand values must be understood and accepted internally as well as externally. This means that brand building involves a certain amount of internal marketing and training, so that any face-to-face contact customers have with the product is consistent and positive.
Even with the best of marketing, brand loyalty takes time to secure. Therefore, a long-term perspective is required when investing in a brand. Initially building up the brand will be an expense. Any business venture is a risk. If there comes a time when a brand has become tired or its market has gone into decline, the business may need to work at repositioning the product to reflect the change in consumers taste. Repositioning is an important, and none too easy factor, in brand building.
These seven factors: positioning, credibility, communications, quality, internal marketing, long-term perspective, and repositioning, are critical to building brand value. A proper marketing plan will address each factor. In addition, the marketing strategy should be evaluated and updated at regular intervals.

6 Things You Must Do If You Want To Have An Effectively Branded Blog
The term blogging has recently found its way into the standard Internet terminology. While most people don't have a blog, or don't even know the first thing about blogging, they have heard of the term and have at least a vague idea of what it means. If you decide to venture into the world of blogging, there are some things you must do to increase your chances of making your blog more successful. Most of these things are common sense, but some of them may be new to a first-time blogger.
1. Identify the Target Market for Your Blog You should focus on one topic area, or related topic areas for your blog. If your blog wanders too much in many different directions, it becomes a general discussion blog, and you risk losing the more motivated readers. For example, if your target market of interest is travel, then you would want to focus your blog on topics related to travel. You could broaden your topics to include adventure travel, cruises, all-inclusives, hotels, etc., however the more focused you are in your topics (if you just stick with cruises), the more effective your blog will be in terms of branding you as an expert about cruises, and the more responsive your readers will be to your cruise related posts.
2. Give the Readers to Your Blog What They Want Unless your blog is set up to just display your random streams of consciousness, the readers to your blog are going to want valuable and timely information that is accurate. If you are making statements about policies or current events, you should back them up with links to the sources you used to make those statements. It is also important to keep the reader interested by giving your own personal insights, or giving a new way to look at current events. Putting your own personality into your blog is essential and will keep your readers interested in what you have to say.
3. The More Creative Your Blog, The Better Be creative within reason of course. However with so many blogs out there today, it's now more difficult to have your blog stand out from the rest. Your blog must have personality and depth to keep people's interest. Also realize that your blog will not appeal to everyone, and that is OK. Your blog is not meant to appeal to everyone, that is why you first went through the step of determining your target market and targeting your blog to those readers.

How to Find a Niche For Your Blog
It is important to realize that your choice of a niche can have a significant influence on the success or failure of your new blog.
Deciding on a theme can be a daunting task. What exactly are you going to write about? Your niche needs to be a popular topic that many people are interested in.
If you are going to blog about yourself, then you better have a very interesting life, or you will have difficulty keeping your readers coming back for more. You should choose a topic that will make it comparatively easy to grow your readership and build a strong following.
Since many bloggers write about their favorite subjects, it’s not a bad idea to start brainstorming by writing down a list of your hobbies, interests, and any areas of professional expertise. Now try to determine a niche you can target within one of those areas.
Should you blog about automobiles in general, or the latest sports cars? If you choose too narrow a theme then you may struggle to come up with regular, fresh content. And if you choose a topic that’s too general your readers may be confused by a jumble of seemingly unrelated posts.
You might consider niches within the following general topic areas which have proven to be popular for blogging:
• Automobiles
• Computers & Information Technology
• Digital Cameras
• Gadgets
• Music
• News
• Photography
• Politics
• Shopping
If you plan to use Pay-Per-Click advertising to get traffic to your blog, then remember also that the hottest topics might have the highest pay-per-click fees.
You can sometimes get great niche ideas by browsing at Blog directories and sites like Google Blog Search: http://blogsearch.google.com
Since it is so time-consuming trying to com up with the ‘perfect’ niche idea, many bloggers and webmasters have turned to specialized niche discovery tools. I particularly recommend Online Gold Finder and NicheTopics.
With Online Gold Finder you can uncover profitable, undiscovered online markets with just a couple of clicks. Read more about Online Gold Finder at: http://www.moneyforblogging.com/goldfinder.htm
NicheTopics is quite handy in a different way. You get to use some great research that’s already been completed by an expert. It is a ready-to-use report on 109 unique, untapped niches. Read more about NicheTopics: http://www.moneyforblogging.com/nichetopics.htm
The tools above are not free but consider for a moment. If you are planning – or would even like - to make some money from your blog, then it will be worthwhile to start off with a well-researched niche.
If a particular tool uncovers a good niche that pays an additional $5 a day, it will pay for itself inside the first month!
Don’t forget, it will be very difficult to change the theme and niche of your blog later. So invest some time wisely during your planning stage.
You will be off to a strong start in building a successful blog.

The Philosophy Of Why Blogging And Publishing Content Online Is So Important And Profitable
The blogging experience is about not only putting your thoughts on the web, but hearing back from and connecting with other like-minded folks.
Most people surfing the Internet are looking for information. In other words, most people are not actively seeking to buy a product and nearly everyone expects to get the information for free.
Speaking specifically about the market place of people who are "interested" in having an online home business and/or generating income from the web, most of these people want to find good information about the subject first.
Therefore, by becoming a provider of trustworthy information about online home businesses, legitimate work at home opportunities and ways to generate income online, positions you as the source for what people are actually looking for in the first place.
Then, when people find your information and get engaged in the articles, they will naturally find the links that point to your sales page and visit them. Now, they have already been pre-sold and have more trust in the link to your sales page because they have already benefited by reading the free information provided in the article on your blog!
Also, blogs are the most search engine friendly Internet publishing tool in existence. This means that the pages of your blog can start being indexed by the search engines almost immediately and some of your blog content pages will start showing up in the free listings of the search engines when people search for various keywords. Therefore, adding quality content to your blog on a regular basis can generate free targeted traffic to your website potentially forever.
Publishing a blog allows you to instantly create new content-rich web pages. These new pages can be linked to from the home page of your current website and/or promoted separately. By creating additional content-rich website pages and promoting them from your home page or through other means, you will be accomplishing two important things:
1) You will provide more value for your website visitors. This increases the "stickiness" of your website making people stick around longer and ultimately trust you more. On the Internet, trust translates to profits!
2) Search engines love fresh content created through blogs. By publishing your own blog and adding fresh content to it on a regular basis, you will attract the attention of the major search engines who will list your website in their directories for free. As soon as you have pages of your blog in the search engines, you will start attracting free qualified traffic to your site without paying a dime for it. Imagine running a large and comprehensive Google Adwords campaign without paying anything for it. That is exactly what you can accomplish by publishing your own blog!
Anytime you have some news to share about your business, it is a great idea to use your autoresponder to let your subscribers know about it. You could even link your autoresponder to your blog, so that each time you post information on your blog your subscribers are notified by email. This type of active relationship building can make a huge impact on your business. The more you interact with your subscribers, the more they will trust you and want to do business with you!
With a blog, the publishing possibilities are only limited by your own imagination. The point to realize is that, as a blog publisher, you have just unlocked a huge window of opportunity for yourself!

I inserted the Social Bookmarking AddThis Button on each of my web and blog pages.
If a visitor reads an article and if he likes it, he will bookmark it to the social search engines. Since the concept is Bookmark and Share, he is sharing that article with the Netizens. Others will see, click the link and bingo ! he comes to our site or blog !
Hence Social Bookmarking can get us traffic. I finished inserting the Add This Social Bookmarking button today on my 3000 blog and web pages and traffic has increased. Let your visitors promote you !
It is our duty to give a catchy, attractive headline to the article, followed by an interesting paragraph. We have to catch the reader's attention.
If we make our blog posts or articles attractive to the readers, definitely there will be bookmarking and traffic will be the result. I found AddThis Social Bookmarking button one of the best in the field.
I also inserted the AddThis Feed button. Once the reader clicks the AddThis Feed Button, he can send it to the feed directories.

Web Marketing 2.0
By Kim Roach
If you're like me, then you are probably tired of hearing the word Web 2.0 passed around the net like a buzz word on steroids. Google alone currently shows 126,000,000 results for the search term “web 2.0″ at the time of this writing.
However, although this term may be overblown, it does have significant influence on the current changes taking place on the Internet. Most importantly, it has many implications for the online marketer.
Wikipedia has defined social search as the following:
“Social searching is the latest innovation in the search engine industry. Sprouting from web2.0 concepts like folksonomy or social bookmarking it gives the user the ability to interact with the search engine and promote what they feel are the relevant results. This is a user based approach website relevancy as opposed to the traditional webmaster based approach”
We are currently seeing a multitude of social search engines exploding onto the Internet’s virtual landscape. Sites like Digg, del.icio.us, and MySpace are attracting millions of users.
The users search experience is being taken to an entirely new level through the “collective intelligence” of millions of individual editorial decisions.
The Internet has always strived to give power to its users. Social search develops upon this cultural bedrock.
Algorithmic search engines have essentially reached their peak. These automated software-based crawlers and indexing systems can never deliver excellent results on a consistent basis. This is due to the crowds of people who are constantly trying to beat the system.
Social search, on the other hand, provides a human editorial factor that cannot be obtained by traditional search engines. By using the wisdom of crowds, people are able to access more customized and targeted information.
A great example of this can be seen at Yahoo Answers. According to Comscore, this site has become the second most popular Internet reference site after Wikipedia. Why has this site been such a success? Because it capitalizes on the wisdom of crowds.
Anyone can ask a question on Yahoo Answers and have a crowd of millions of users available to answer their question. This technique allows users to receive multiple perspectives rather than the often irrelevant links that can be found using a traditional search engine.
In fact, many of the major search engines are putting forth an effort to get involved in the social search arena.
Yahoo in particular is betting heavily on social search. Yahoo bought photo-sharing site Flickr along with del.icio.us. Then, they also purchased WebJay, a site for creating and sharing music playlists. Yahoo is hoping to change the way people find information online by tapping into the collective knowledge of crowds.
Google has also bought a couple of social-networking sites, including Orkut and Dodgeball. However, they have done far less than Yahoo in terms of online community building. It makes one wonder whether or not this technology is a fad or a way of searching that is here to stay. If social search does become a proven technology, then it seems that Yahoo will have quite an advantage based on the fact that they have jumped into the game far earlier than Google.
Microsoft has also made plans within the social search arena. They have just recently unveiled a question-and-answer (http://www.live.com/?scope=qna) social search tool as part of Windows Live.
Microsoft research shows that generic search engines can’t answer 50% of queries asked. However, with a system like Yahoo and Google Answers, you can almost always find an answer among a user base of millions.
Today’s search giants must increase their social-search efforts to keep up with the new developments that are occuring. Social networks pose a potential threat to the well-established search engines like Google and Yahoo. Sites like MySpace and Digg are quickly increasing their market share.
What This Means for the Internet Marketer
Social search is definitely something you should keep in mind when planning your marketing activities. However, it should only be a piece of the marketing puzzle, combined with search engine optimization, article marketing, blogging, etc.
Having said that, here are some of the Web 2.0 hot spots that you will want to be involved in.

Social Networks:
Social networking sites are all about connections. After all, the Web has and always will be a social space. According to Wikipedia, the first social networking service was Sixdegrees.com, created in 1997. Since that time, these social hangouts have exploded, allowing you to meet and network with hundreds of like-minded individuals.
Social networking sites allow you to make connections all around the Internet. These acquaintances may turn into business partners, joint ventures, or just great friends. Either way, you don’t want to be left out of the loop.
To get some additional insight into social networking, I talked to Dina Giolitto of http://www.wordfeeder.com. She is one of the first people I have seen to offer Web 2.0 marketing (http://www.wordfeeder.com/s ervices.htm#web_20) to her clients, helping web sites to get noticed on all of the web 2.0 hotspots, including squidoo.com, the Ryze Business Network, Digg, Technorati, and more.
Here is some of her insight into social networking:
“Web 2.0 will get you networking, learning, link swapping and forging alliances with millions of website owners and future customers. Join as many groups as you have time for, but then choose one or two where you see an opportunity to really get to know people on a deeper level (professionally), and then participate regularly in those places.
For me, the Ryze Business Network at http://Ryze.com was the perfect initiation into the ways of the Web. To start, post on other people’s networks. When you feel confident enough, start your own network. It’s great way to become schooled in internet marketing, attract complementary business owners who share your work ethic, goals and ideals, and establish authority in your niche - all at the same time!”
If you haven’t gotten involved in a social community yet, now is a great time to do so.
To find a group that’s right for you, check out the following list of social networking sites:

Social Bookmarking:
From the beginning, the Internet has put the power into the hands of its users. Social bookmarking continues this attempt of democracy. Social bookmarking sites are composed of a community of users who submit, categorize, and rank their favorite web sites. In this system, the popularity of any individual submission is based upon the communities opinion rather than an algorithmic ranking like that of Google.
By simply submitting fresh, unique content to these sites, you can gain your website some additional exposure. To try it out for yourself, check out this list of 120 social bookmarkings sites:

The key to being successful in the social realm of the web is to create unique and valuable content that people will want to link to. Then, once you have valuable content that is worth sharing, share by tagging, pinging, and sharing your bookmarks on all of the major bookmarking services.
However, don’t forget that you are part of a community and you are there to provide value to that community. This means that you should share other web sites as well.
This will make your involvement in the community much more valuable and people will respect your submissions. If you are only sharing and book marking your own web sites, your reputation will fall drastically.
At this point it’s hard to tell which social search engines will emerge as being the top performers. That’s why it is important to get your content in as many web 2.0 locations as possible.
Although social search technology is certainly fun to play with and offers some new and interesting ways to search the web. It still has a ways to go before anyone would become dependent upon these alternative search engines.
Their growth, just like traditional search engines, will take time. The future of social search depends greatly upon how fast the general online audience adopts it. As with all community sites, the benefits grow with the size and activity of the group.
Social search is unlikely to overcome the traditional search functionality of algorithmic search. However, it will be a great supplement to both organic and paid search and will provide users with additional insight that larger search engines cannot offer.
The ideal search solution would be to combine traditional search, social search and human editorial input. This would allow users to experience the power of human mediated search with the comprehensiveness of algorithmic search.

There are hundreds of business ventures you can start from your home Internet access.Every day Thousands of new people discover online business oportunities.
The first approach is usually to make some extra cash to buy or pay small bills, let say from 200$ to 500$.One of the biggest reason people jump to this new business adventures,is that you can start up at very low cost and run it in the confort of your home.
Now as times goes by you start to get the real picture and the possibilities to earn a living or even a retire on it, you begining to think going full time.
Here where your "Why" comes in,now you started your business to make 200$ to 500$,and if you were constant you probably made it after a while.
Your "Why" back then was to pay for small bills or pay for something you really wanted to buy,and every time you doubt it about making that money with your business and want to stop your "WHY" keeps you going.(if you didin't have a "Why" chances are you didin't make any money)
We all agree that you will not do the same amounts of quality activities when you earn 12000$ a month then when you earn 200$.
Now if you are thinking about going Full time and start earning from 2000$ to 5000$ average you will never make it if you keep your old 200$ reason "Why".To make ten or hundred times larger check every month your "Why" must be hundred times biggest and stronger.
The best advice I can give you is Find Your "WHY" what ever are your goals you must before find it.
Your "WHY" is primary with out it your goals are just words written on the paper and at the first difficulties you will Stop or change Business because you don't have your ("Why"source)that help you focus and keep you going to your final destination.
What is the source or engine of the success ?
All the really wealthy answered : YOUR "WHY"
To achive your biggest goals You Why must be Bigger than You.
Sincerely,
Sergio Ervini

Combine blog posts, create article and submit to directories !
This is another principle of Article Marketing.
You can combine your blog posts, create an article out of it and submit to article directories.
I had written some posts about Mundane Astrology in my Astrology and Stock Market Astrology blogs. I combined them, created an article within minites and is now submitting them to article directories !
The article " Mundane Astrology - Effects of Jupiter in Scorpio in the Fifth " is now submitted to thousands of article directories. That way you save time and you get exposure, as your article will be read by many.
Good luck with Article Marketing !

More articles on www.articlewisdom.com
Around 2400 articles are up at http://www.articlewisdom.com/. Many are submitting articles and many are downloading. Previously the bandwidth was 500 MB, which was exceeded in April. So I upgraded it to 1000 MB. Now 1000 MB is also surpassed. I have upgraded it to 1500 MB. It is ranked 277,000 th by Alexa traffic rankings.
My other site, http://www.realtyspeculation.com/ has got more than 800 hits. It gives realty info on the Indian real estate market. Success can be attained by speculating, investing and flipping ( buying and selling it without procrastination ). My brother is a real estate speculator who has made immense money via real estate investment and speculation. He was the real inspiration behind starting this dot com.

Real Estate Speculation in India
http://www.realtyspeculation.com/ has got off to a good start with 615 hits so far. It has 16 web pages and caters to the need of real estate investors and speculators. I have given the name speculation because it is always speculation that drives up the market. In India people buy property and give a 10% token amount and a contract is drawn for 6 months. In a developing area, this property appreciates within 6 months to more than 25%. Now the speculator sells it, takes the amount from the buyer and gives the balance amount to the seller, thus booking a huge profit ! This is the true real estate speculation

Realtyspeculation.com
I started my fifth site, www.realtyspeculation.com, to cater to the needs of realty investors and speculators. The $ 15 b market will become $ 90 by 2015 with many foreign players coming in. I am submitting the new site to the major search engines.

MySpace, a social networking colossus !
What a colossus MySpace is !
I have got now more than 100 friends on MySpace. MySpace is a marketer's Paradise. Despite arguments to the contrary, MySpace has got immense marketing potential. ( Contrary arguments are that you have no control on downtime and it is not on your server etc ).
You can create a profile on MySpace and invite others to be your friends. You can post bulletins to them via email. You can create your blog on MySpace and add it to the Search Engines. Also your MySpace url. This is known as MySpace Optimisation. You can share your knowledge with your friends and at the same time learn from them. Remember the saying " The Foolish ofttimes teach the wise " There is no harm in learning from others. Remember what Dante said " Heaven is a school and He is the Abbot of the College " !
There are more than 8000 groups on Myspace. You can join them and post your information to them. Be subtle, sophisticated, strategic and cater to the sensitivities of others.
Create relationships on MySpace. Once relationships are established, you can start slowly promoting your products !
Happy marketing on MySpace !

Perfecting the Art of Non Selling ( Marketing )
" Dont Sell , Influence " - This is the doctrine. The clients should not know that we are selling ! The knack of business is that it should not appear as Business. Similarly the knack of Marketing is that it should not look as blatant ads !
I have become a hit in MySpace. Yesterday many read my group posts and many contacted me. I told them that I am a programmer, writer and astrologer and have devoted 19 years for the development of Zodiac Astrology, developing software, researching astro texts, developing websites and blogs ! The marketing should not appear as marketing; it should be subtle, strategic and should cater to the sensitivity of future prospects !
